So You Quit On A Dry Wipe Board? You Don’t Get A Medal.

Let me get this out of the way…yes it was funny. Yes it was good that she stood up to her boss objectifying her.

I have three reservations about the ‘wow she’s so cool’ crap floating around atm. All based on the fact that this is a privileged piece of shit.

1. She is hot. She knows it. There’s no way she didn’t know it and there’s no way she’s never used her hotness to her advantage in her life, EVER. Call me a bitter ugly person, but as someone who’s spent most of my life being punished for being fucking weird looking, I don’t buy into the poor attractive me mindset. It wasn’t okay for her boss to objectify her. But similarly I don’t think it’s okay to take advantage of your privilege and then complain about it in the next breath. Besides this, there’s no way the video would be anywhere near as popular and as liked as it is if she was unattractive.

2. A lot of companies, including the one she worked for, could give her serious shit for this. She could find it very hard to find jobs in her sector ever again. For those thinking of pulling similar capers, don’t bother unless you want to risk having yourself blackballed by the sector you work in.

3. She quit her job without another one!? Well lucky her for being able to afford to do this. Many people can’t even get jobs, let alone quit in such an attention seeking way. A lot of us couldn’t afford to do this without risking starvation and homelessness.

No it wasn’t okay for her boss to say what he said, yes she should have challenged him, but being the one that always has to have the lemon sucking face, I think it was foolish and if she comes out of it unscathed, she should count herself very lucky.
